Should I turn off engine at traffic lights?
As fuel is so expenditure is it more economical to turn the engine off at traffic lights or leave it ticking over?

Thanks for the replies on my journey to work I have to negotiate 5 sets of traffic lights in 4 miles with a waiting time of 2-3 minutes if I get to them when red light just shows
Looks like there are some savings to be made - my cars computer says I'm using 0.1 gallons/hour when idling this equals say 60p 0r so in diesel at today prices so if I switch off for 60 mins a week I would save £30 or so a year not a massive amount but something
