Has anyone had their alloy wheels refurbished. One of my back ones are badly marked and there is a man who lives close by who has a mobile alloy wheel buisness .
Have no idea of cost at the moment but would like to know if it is worth doing.

If it bothers you, have it done. Usually costs around £35/wheel.
Had a wheel done a few weeks ago cost £40 (cash) Done a good job too, well happy, on an 2009 Audi A4), just make sure the tyre comes off because if they repair and spray with tyre on chances are the lacquer will lift after a time.

Just had a quote for £50 plus vat.I suppose that is about right depending on where you live. So will go ahead. They all need doing really but the other only have scratches. This one is the worst.

My partner's road tax reminder didn't arrive, I discovered that hadn't got a new log book. It turns out that the DVLA hadn't received the change of owner details, so my partner went to the DVLA office in Manchester and has corrected that.

His road tax disc expires at the end of April, and he took everything issued to him by the DVLA to Post Office and asked for a tax disc for 6 months. When he got home, I realised that the tax disc he's been given runs out at the end of September 2011 - surely that's in 5 months ? Shouldn't the new disc run out at the end of October ? He went back to the Post Office and they've told him the tax disc was correctly issued. I'm confused. Any ideas ?
Sorry, wrong place ! doh !
