i have 406 hdi 2001  it has an intermitant problem, it shows "antipollution fault" e/management light comes on,this is followed,somtimes by loss of power in varying degrees.this continues for 5 minutes or an hour or so,sometimes clears if engine is turned off for a while.puegeot have so far replaced m.a.p.sensor and turbo solenoid . ok for a few hundred miles,now back again.  any ideas,out there?

The main dealer will have a better idea than me, due to the fault code that they can get from it, but I'd check the pressure sensor connections either side of the DPF (big catalyst bit)

Do you drive very slowly all the time (eg heavy traffic around town) if so, a blast down the motorway may help clear out the DPF if that is the problem.

It could also be a fault with the fuel additive dosing unit.
