Red Route

Is the fine for parking on a ' red route' the same as for parking on double yellow lines ?

On the parking ticket why does it have ' Observed from ' and 'Observed to' ?

Are traffic wardens suppose to wait for any period of time from first seeing the vehicle , before issuing a ticket ?

On this ticket it states - Observed from 13.38 - Observed to 13.38

There is absolutely NO STOPPING on a red route..........even a momentary stop is counted (as you have found out ).

there is no minumim time even on yellows but they usually do a from/to.

The observation applies to yellow lines. Unless there are 'no loading' signs/markings a driver can park on single or double yellow lines for loading/unloading to a nearby property, or picking up, setting down passengers.
However, this loading/unloading must be continuous. If a traffic warden can say they watched the vehicle for 10 minutes and saw no loading or unloading, the driver will have no lea way to appeal.


As already stated, tickets are issued instantly on red routes or in 'no stopping' areas.
