RUBBER CARS
22 Answers
Why CARS are not completely built out of rubber just like the tyres? No accidental damage to cars & people?
We could bang our cars as we wish without damage?
No Repair cost ,No costly Insurance, no scratches , just wipe the dirt mark and ride along, people don’t have to pay fines, get involved with the cops or end up in jail.
No fatal accidents or casualties

In 1940, Morris produced the 8hp 'Z' series van, used extensively for many years by Royal Mail and the GPO. To reduce the costs of minor repairs, many of these vehicles were fitted with rubber front wings. Later, a large number of the Morris Minor 'O' series vans, which replaced the 'Z' type, were also fitted with rubber wings.

I remember Tomorrows World showing bumpers that could cope with 5 mph bumps. It looked like the way to go.
MG even fitted them:

They weren't very popular.

I think rubber cart means the body of the car should be made of rubber. Well, I think that it would be prone to perish, and it would not be that strong. When I was young there was talk of plastic cars coming on the market very soon, but that has not come to being. Are there any plastic cars on the market today?
