What is the price of gas in UK? As for where I live, it's $4.65 a gallon.

UK Petrol Prices for
Monday 11th Jul 2011
Avg. Min. Max.
Unleaded: 134.43p 125.9p 149.9p
Diesel: 138.48p 132.7p 153.9p
LRP: 138.96p 133.9p 142.9p
Super: 141.96p 132.9p 151.9p
LPG: 76.42p 67.9p 84.9p
per litre = more than US$8 per gallon
I believe a US gallon is not the same as a UK gallon
UK gallon = 4.4 litres US gallon = 3.8 litres.
Further more...

Our normal unleaded would be classed as about 91octane in the US and our Super would be about 94octane.
I've seen diesel advertised in Armagh on handwritten cardboard signs for 125.9p/litre, though at that price it is either bent, bootlegged over the border from Eire or it is laundered red diesel. I don't take the chance here. I just drive over the border and fill up with legit diesel there, and messrs Cameron and Clegg don't get any revenue from it.
I wonder how much of the $4.65/gallon is tax?
