my abs light comes on when it rains what could the problem be?

Some (higher spec) cars have an electrical connection at each wheel brake assembly – the purpose of which is to give a warning that the brake pads require replacing. It could be that your brake pads are close to this wear point, where the electrical connection would be made – but requires moisture (rain) to pass sufficient current to activate the warning.

Given the importance of the vehicle braking system – get it checked out, sooner rather than later.
ABS sensors are located at the wheels so are open to the elements, could be corrosion damp ingress...as said should be checked out
Had your pads /discs changed recently ? this can disturb the sensor
