There is a car parked on the other side of the road to me which restricts me getting on and off my driveway. The tax disc has expired. The vehicle never moves and it is really getting my goat!!

Then report it to the police.
Of course.

Hope your goat is OK......
Yes it is, but for the sake of good neighbourly relations, why not attach a warning note before reporting them.
You can report it from the comfort of your own home here:

Postdog, my goat is stressed, can no longer graze on ther grass verge
If the car restricts your driveway, phone the police. They will have it towed away.

Thank you answerprancer and new judge, we've been here 45 years they've been here a few months. Maybe best to think about it, new blood and all that, shall take the goat for a trot and stop ranting.
We had this in our road a lot at one time. Just ring the council and report anonymously if it worries you. They'll stick tickets on it, then in due course they'll tow it away.
If its untaxed it may well be uninsured too. check on askmid.com
It`s probably been dumped. Just phone the council and they`ll eventually remove it.
i would add a note first...if it is your neighbours, they will not take kindly to you causing them touble and expense for want of a note

it unfairly happened to me when my valid disk slipped from the window...it was still visible on the seat i think but they still reported it...i had been parking it in the street for about 4 years...but it had broken down for about a month or so... but they knew it belonged to me...if i knew who actually reported it there would be trouble...
It is illegal!........if untaxed needs to be declared as SORN, and parked off the highway!.....needs to be on private land, or taxed if on the road!........
Back earlier in the year, my car broke down at my mums house, wouldn't start, tax went up on it, couldn't declare it off the road as it was 'parked' outside my mums house on the street. The lovely neighbours there phoned the police after a week (I was in the process of getting it scrapped) it passed its tax, they left a warning on my car x
i would also make sure i parked outside your house as often as possible if you reported me ...so be ready for them to do something similar - or worse...
(i am assuming it has only just expired here...if its been months and never moved, id still leave a note and then after say 10 days if no response or explanation etc, i'd report)

Joko, I take on board what you say, they also have a rather large van which is parked overnight wherever it can be accommodated in the road, that dosen't cause me a problem but I woudn't like it permanately parked opposite me!
it shouldn't be on the road if untaxed!.....if it has been declared as SORN, then it does not need to be taxed, as long as it's kept on private land, otherwise it needs road tax!.....simple as!.......report it!......
Leave a warning note on it saying you will report them in one week, but do not sign it and leave it to their imagination who it is.
not that this helps you with your question, but, how does a car across the road restrict you getting in your drive?
