hi, i have a bmw and looking from the front, on the left to the engine, there is like a cylinder type thing, and iv tried over the internet to find out what it is, and images of the same car don't seem to have it, anyone know what it could be?

Is it an EGR dump bottle .. has it small rubber air pipes connected to it?
