Require estate car with long boot
7 Answers
Does anyone know which estate cars have the longest boot space. Every time I check out a car on the internet it only gives the boot volume but I want to know the boot length. We have a Saab 95 estate at the moment and just wondered if their is anything out there with a longer boot (with the rear seats folded down of course). OH is a fisherman and when we go on holiday I always seem to have carp rods wedged between the two front seats. If he takes any more stuff with him I can see me taking the plane and him picking me up at the airport!

As a photograher we found the Passat was the one of the only ones to take 3m rolls of background paper!

I have heard that the Saab 95 is quite mean for boot space. Cars for your requirements that immediately spring to mind consist of the obvious Volvos, but a former colleague of mine who was a keen fisherman replaced his ageing Passat with a Chevrolet Lacetti Estate. He only kept it a year, changing it not for lack of bootspace (it was ideal there) but it got through petrol like George Best got through Champaign.
Mondeo looks good. However if you lean forther towards the GM stable then the Astra estate is far more practical than the Insignia.
