New car not found by Insurance Companies!!!!

My parents bought a new Corsa today, it was just registered at the end of September. My Mum has been trying to get quotes for Insurance but several companies cannot find the car when she gives them the Registration Number. Is this normal? Is it because the car is Brand New? Any ideas?.

You should ask the insurance company to insure it on the make, model, and trim .. like the rest of them do.
Us folk with imported models always get this problem.
