Small cars with higher milage will knock the price down a bit, obviously the colour is a good factor too, if it's white people would steer well clear. Make sure it's well hoovered and as clean as you can make it look.
No time for washing it everyday? Just simply was the roof, bonnet and the bottoms of the doors, it's what most people see when they look at a car!
Luckily you have the 'Ideal for the first time driver' factor in your favour too. Advertise the low insurance group and the economy and any gadgets it has like electric windows or sunroof, all are plusses that help a car sell.
Look around at local car dealers, you should get a rough idea there too, although some main dealers only price to sell cars that are 4 old years or less.
Have a look for similarly spec'ed and mileage cars on autotrader (www.autotrader.co.uk).
I'd expect you to get around 1500 for it to be honest, but don't take my word for it :)
Good Luck!
