Im looking to buy a Sporty Car For Around �12,000, any ideas???

A second hand Subaru Imprezza Turbo is a great car.  Reliable with safe and pridictable handling.  Used one on a regular basis and it was great fun to drive esp if you like upsetting BMW drivers as you wave good bye to them in your rear veiw mirror.  They are a bit thirsty but I'd have one anyday.

Naturally I have to agree with Jay70, at that money nothing much will keep up with a well driven Impreza.

As an alternative, I would look at a Ford Puma 1.7, a VW Corrado VR6, Peugeot 309 GTI, Seat Leon 20v Cupra Sport, Alfa 147 2.0l twinspark, all available used for about your budget, or less.

Or a lotus Elise old shape, or maybe a boxster but you will find it has high miles for that sort of price.
