I'm not trying to start an argument here, hopefuly an amusing discussion but what are your motoring prejudices, ie things you dislike but with no good reason but you have a reason even though to most it's not a reason at all.
eg: Front wheel drive is the work of Satan, because the front wheels already do the steering and most of the breaking and cars should be driven from behind.

true....but that's a car park not a Motorway.

JD, I can explain point 3, it's an automatic and it's in gear so you need to either select N or P or put foot on brake to avoid creeping forward.
No Kayless, there is one more option, which is the correct one.

Apply the handbrake.
Highway Code rule 114 (second half)

In stationary queues of traffic, drivers should apply the parking brake and, once the following traffic has stopped, take their foot off the footbrake to deactivate the vehicle brake lights. This will minimise glare to road users behind until the traffic moves again.

I'm not disputing the correct way hopkirk, merely explaining why it happens. No on ever uses a parking brake at lights in an automatic, I know what the HC says.
I hate those chavs who drive round in clapped out old bangers with dustbins for exhausts and play thud thud music at full volume, and then try to outdrag you from traffic lights - and fail!!
People who point at my Smart Car and laugh :-(
Crafty - how much room is there in Smart cars for the shopping?
I always thought i was too tall for a Smart car until I was driving in Manchester and saw Sebastian Chaval, the French rugby international driving one and he's about 6'6" !!
Nice big boot in the new one.............and if the weather's okay I can stand tall parcels up with the roof off.
1) Those people who have to stick the nose of the car out in the opposite direction to that which they are turning - Its a normal street not the Mirabeau at Monaco.
2) People who allow the the traffic in front to get away by a distance no matter how slow its moving.
3) Overtaking a parked vehicle or bike even if it puts you on the opposite side of the road causing oncoming traffic to brake.
4) Those who, appear, to have no idea that you give way to the right at roundabouts.
5) Being in the wrong lane at traffic lights but then "race" you to get in front.
6) Constant braking even though there is no reason to, if your that scared don't drive.
Persons that pass their test on a PSV & forget the have a double decker when they hit a low bridge, persons that pass their HGV on a Frid & think they have the 44Tonne loaded experience on Monday, persons that forget to take the magnet from under the car when the stick in the Middle lane of a motorway, @rsoles the only circle see through on their windscreen in winter instead of defrosting their bloody cars. & many many more.
tailgaters
speeders
people who dont use indicators
people who use their phone whilst driving (its still a very common sight)
people who are in the wrong lane at a roundabout then proceed to cut everyone up.
people who drive in the middle of the road
people who are unaware of the right of way rule
Question Author
There is no "right of way rule" generally, the HC tells us when to give way.
Zebra Crossing? the pedestrian has right of way Kayless + a few more.
I once witnessed a man reading a book while driving.

It wasn't the highway code.
Question Author
show me where it says right ow way in the higway code.

Rule 195 says "you must give way if a pedestrian has moved on to a crossing"
Rule 19 covers the zebra crossing from a pedestrian point of view but does not mention right of way.

In fact the phrase "right of way" has no meaning at all.
