which car would you reccomend

for a family of four. I quite like the Rav 4, and BMW 1series, but it has to economical and stylish at the same time. What would Abers recommend personally (£4000 budget) thanks again

1 series diesel .. but at that proce .. iffy.

It's very tight in the rear of the 1 series too (the new ones are better)

Also, as above, 4k is not really enough for a decent one.

I agree the BMW 1 does not have much room in the back whereas Rav 4 is excellent for space and, of course, you will always be able to drive in the snow. BMW is a rear wheel drive car so not so good in the snow. The VW Golf has plenty of room and if you get a good one is very reliable. Having had a BMW and a Golf, would definitely say Golf better for a family. My friends have always had the RAV 4 and they have never let them down. Hope this helps.
