Car maker people are good at listing the "plus" features on their cars.

There should also be list of annoying features.

Here are some annoying features on my car.

(1) You can't programme the satnav while the car is moving - which is a pain if you're in traffic, and want to know where to go, coz you have to find somewhere to stop.

(2) If you unlock it, and don't open the doors, it locks itself again - so you unlock the car, pick up your armful of bags, go to get in the car, try to open the door with your fingertips, and the sodding thing has relocked itself.

You must be a fantastic driver if your capable of programming your sat nav whilst driving in traffic!

Perhaps it's a safety feature !
"Perhaps it's a safety feature !"
That remark has a familiar ring to it.
:-)
Maybe, but I want to nap in the back seat while the car takes me where I want to go. :-)
I have a very annoying feature on my car. It does not drive itself and I have to actually drive it myself. How boring is that?

I thought you had a bike, J.J. or do you have both car and motorbike.
Annoyingly my car doesn't wash itself, otherwise it serves me well.
Complicated indicator stalks. First seen on the Vectra in 2002. What was wrong with the traditional ones? I see thankfully they have reverted back to common sense for the Insignia.

BMW won the 'stupid indicator' competition though with the 5-series and followed it up with the stupid steering wheel controls. Just look at Clarkson's road test of the M5 when he tried to increase the volume of the Doobie Brothers.
Is your ignition key hole lit up - I could do with that & save fumbling about with frozen fingers.
My petrol filler cap is unattached and keeps waiting at French filling stations to be picked up by some passing Jean-Louis or other...........
I Don't have a problem with the satnav while moving jj, but mine locks itself just like you said - when you're carrying something.....
...and it has really annoying beeping noises and flashing lights to tell me that I need to put my seatbelt on, when I need to top up with fuel, when a light is out, etc.....

Surely I can get all this info by looking at my dashboard every now and then...

I'd love to find a way to switch it off.....

bob.
The starting handle is freezing cold these winter mornings.
AOG, How are you coping with the acetylene lamps?
Khandro

Next to useless on 'full beam'.
Well, you'll just have to keep your speed down after dark; remember, no more the 5mph.
Anyone else get the Be Wiser insurance ad on this page - it's really lovely - the entire backround is taken up with pictures of owls.

Lightbulbs that need a degree in astrophysics to replace them when they go....

Bizarre locations for fuel caps or bonnet openers that a degree in forensic science is needed

safety belt attachments that a degree in quantum mechanics is needed

spare tyres that are not easily accessible and dumb impossible locking nuts where a degree in the psychology iinvolving a dissertation on the murder of car designers is needed

The ash tray. It takes up space in the dashboard and no-one ever uses it.
I think they're usually used as "change draws" now kengrace.
