I hit a lot of stones and transport kids and dogs so it wasn't my cup of tea. Instead I buy nearly new so I get a bit of warranty but some other mug has taken the lion's share of depreciation, and I generally keep the car 10 years or until the wheels drop off it. As I do 50k per year, usually the latter comes first. I have my eye on a Volvo V60 next, the wheels are getting wobbly on my Vectra so let's see if the Volvos are really as strong as legend has it. And I like big estate cars too.
