If it's being driven and not on a trailer then you'd need insurance or trade plates.
you can drive to and from the garage without tax if its booked in
insurance cover is always needed
maybe you could get a garage that offer a collection service for MOT, if not to far away, them you won't need anything
You cannot even have a car if it is not insured even if it is locked in your garage without asking for a heavy fine unless it is sorned!
yes, you can put a car on a flat bed and take it for an MOT.
Can be taken to and from the MOT station without road tax but MOT is a must.
No MantaRay, why would you take your car to an MOT station if you already had an MOT?

A car without tax or MOT can be driven to and from an appointment for an MOT even if it fails. True even if it is on a SORN.

As has been said though, insurance is a must.
