RENAULT SCENIC DCI..IDLE PROBLEM?
hi again all...got a problem...my friend has a 2004 renault scenic 1.5 dci..now the car drives fine..but at idle car feels as tho its juddering idling quite rough etc,its more noticeable when the engine gets hot as not really that bad when cold,also the clutch is quite high altho not slipping not sure if this has anything do with it,ive taken the egr valve off today with surrounding pipes which were quite gummed up,cleaned them,made no difference etc,any ideas,thanks...wayne....????....could it even be engine mount problem etc...??...

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.twr??...well yes its diesel...1.5 dci 2004...my friend has only just got gthe car and rang me saying it was idling rough and when i got in it..from cold it doesent seem too bad ok id say but as the car warms up begin to feel the vibrate and rough idle etc..what i noticed is sometimes if u put the heaters on the rough vibrate feel goes it feels fine...but not always?..also clutch is very high but not slipping
Sorry for the delay, where and when did you get the car serviced? was it the dealer? was it ok before it went in? Sorry for the Qs, if the car was right before it went in then there's the chance the a fuel filter seal or the Top has not been tightened down tight enough, the clutch will not nothing to do with the Idle, as asked, was the car right before it went in ( The Judder) there could be an engine mount, but you said the clutch is HIGH looks like the clutch is ready for replacing unless it's adjustable which I doubt, I use Redx fuel additive in my car on a full tank, put the equivalent in for dervs & take the car out for a BLAST then try. " Watch the speed camera lol"
