What happens when you sell a vehicle to someone from abroad and they are taking it back to their country after the sale which part of the registration document do they have?

the sm part as usual, and they have to worry about the rest!
Follow the ususal rules. What they do after that is up to them.
make sure you fill in the form and send it back to the dvla to tell them about the new owner. I sold my car, the buyer and I did not get on very well and it finished up that he went away with the registration document. 4 months later I got a parking fine from Switzerland, then got a fine from the dvla for not letting them know the new owners name and address. ( don't know how it got to switzerland, it was just about to blow up when i sold it, i had advertised it for spares)
