Any ideas why my peugeot 106 headlights dont work. I have sidlights and main beam, but no dipped beam. Thoughts it was the dim-dip resistor, but i've replaced that along with the relay and the indicator stalk. Help! Cheers

I'm not an expert on cars, but I've just had that problem with a different make of car.  On my car there is a large connector in the wiring near one of the headlights.  Wires plug into it from both directions, and one wire had come out.

Yeh, checked all the wiring that I can see, and all connections look clean and secure. Cheers anyways though.
Do your headlights go off completely when you change to dip or does mainbeam stay on?

I have side lights, then i turn the switch to get dipped headlights, and nothing happens (sidlights stay on). I them pull the lever towards me and i have full/main beam(whatever its called).

yeh, because there was a stage when they were working intermittently.

To have neither mainbeam working indicates a faulty relay or main/dip switch.  If you can muster either a voltmeter or a 12v bulb with wires attached to trace the cabling from your switch to your lamps and looking for current along the way then fine, you can find where the fault is.  If not, 'fraid it's a garage lecky job

Good luck.

Ok, well after much frustration, I ended up taking it to be a mechanic. It turned out to be the relay that i thought was the indicator relay, so thats why i didn't bother changing. Cheers all for your help.
