My other half has had a letter informing her she was speeding.. 43 in a 30 mph road.. no excuse so she will pay up and take the fine and points off her license.. this is the first time shes had points on her license in 40 yrs of driving.. so shes not reckless she thought the road was 40mph.. anyway.when we inform the insurers would our premiums go up.. if so by how much.. has anyone any idea?
You can't just swap the points you have to be offered the SAC, I know I did mine last week. Send the paper work off pleading guilty and if you are elligable, I would think your wife will be with no previous offences, they will send you the details of were to apply for a course. The current cost is £92.00p but you don't get any points and so you don't need to inform your insurer. If however you get caught within three years these points may also be added
