I have a 96 Honda Civiv which has the factory stereo, it's not listed in the (very vague!) manual and is the type that has a square joystick type affair to operate the UTILITY | GENERAL fuctions and rather complex 4 speaker fader system.

My trouble is even when the RDS says it's off it's still picking up the signal then switching it on again when I'm playing tapes. sure it's a simple fix, it's working perfectly well other than.

Do you mean the traffic announcements? If so, then there should be a button with TA or TP which will turn it off.

Nah. there's none of that that I can find, although I have tried a few other menus and then sometimes some other menus pop up and then go away again.

Oh well, will still keep trying I guess.
