We have just ordered my wife a new Dacia Sandero for delivery in the New Year.
What are peoples thoughts? Any overseas owners that might comment?

Going by the previous versions of Dacia, "Not with a barge pole" is my first reaction, so it would be interesting to hear the outcome.
I used to work in Import/Export by the way, which is how I came in contact with them.

Baldric, with respect and not wanting to sound rude, you are a little out of touch with Dacia and their new models. I Have just purchased a new Dacia Duster Laurete diesel.It is a great car ,renault engine , nissen electrics etc .very pleased. To answer dottys comment I think these new dacia cars are not available in the UK until january 2013.

We expect a few comments based on old Dacia but they are now in fact Renaults built

Mrs MJWMAN v loway local mileage desires only reliable transpofrom her car. Her Daewoo Matiz hs been great for ten years.
The Sandero looks the part and has a big boot.

Just as a follow up. We have had the car since March.
It is brilliant and very well built especially at the price.
It is ideal for my wife's useage and its soft suspension deals with our speed humps superbly.
I would recceomend one to anyone on a budget.
However as I do a lot of motorway miles I am pleased I have my Octavia 2.0 DTi!
