Do you drive at night with your front fog lights on when there is no fog. Please explain why you do it. Must have seen at least 8 cars coming towards me last night on a 6 mile A road trip.
Only if I forget to turn them off once the visibility has improved. Perhaps some drivers fancy themselves as rally drivers and have all lights on full at every opportunity.
Usually I'd say they have probably knocked the switch on and don't realise. 8 together is probably more of a case of them having come from where it was foggy, and forgotten to turn them off, or chosen not to in anticipation of hitting more fog any moment.
in my car, a Citroen C2, the fog lights (front and back) will only come on if the headlights are on, and are cancelled once the headlights are turned off. there are also warning lights on the dash. Why are not all cars fitted like this? In the days when we fitted our own fog and spot lights I always wired them that way, and installed warning lights by the switches.
