galaxy door panels

does anyone know how to remove the door panels from a 2001 galaxy i need to replace the speakers but can't get the door card off.

I think with the old Galaxys at least, the speaker cover is attached to the door card and therefore the whole thing will need removing and replacing.

Have you tried sliding a flat headed screwdriver into the gap and pulling to see where the clips are!?  (obviously gently!)

I'm not sure whether the 2001 model has the same design speakers as my 1997 ? Mine are circular. Anyway the manual says you have to remove the door panels. I had to replace a broken speaker grill and found that by being very careful I could prise the old one off with a covered screwdriver blade. You need to be a bit brave, the cover will come off though !
