I am selling my car privately. It has been off the road for 8 months and is on a SORN. I know there are various sections on the Registration Certificate that have to be filled in and sent to the DVLA, but, after payment, when am I allowed to actually let the car go.

As soon as the car is sold your SORN ends and the new owner must either make a SORN himself or tax the vehicle.
