position of battery

have bmw325i 51 can someone tell me where the the battery is theres nothing to help in the handbook

On all 6 cylinder 3 series (320, 323, 325, 328, 330 & E36 & E46 M3s) the battery is in the driver's side compartment of the boot. This is for better weight distribution to try and offset the extra 2 cylinders over the 4 cylinder cars (316, 318 & 318iS).

Although, in the UK it doesn't work quite so well, as the battery is supposed to be on the opposite side to the driver.
