One is on the bottom of the gear lever somewhere, which is unlikely, or more likely on the side of the gearbox.
There is normally a switch, which gets activated by a rod inside the box when in reverse. This usually takes the form of a metal casting, screwed into the box, and will have a couple of wires attatched. It sounds as though that switch is jammed, or faulty. A temporary fix is to pull offthe plug, but you will need to rectify the problem properly, by installing a new switch.
JUst look around the gearbox, and you should find it.
