Journey Time Chester To Rhyl, Friday Early Evening.
5 Answers
I have to be in Rhyl next Friday for 7pm. Travelling from Tarvin (east of Chester) Google maps tells me the quickest time it would take, and the time it would take NOW, but I'll be travelling in rush hour. How much should I allow for delays. Are there any bad spots.
I always find that when I have a Friday gig the earlier I leave (to allow for delays) the worse the delays are! Can't win.

Most of the roadworks on it are now finished. As for the rest, who can predict the driving styles of others? Friday rush hour often means many are dashing for the ferry but if you leave at 5 p.m, even with a diversion or detour you'll still be there well before 7 IMHO.

2 snags with trains. I would have to drive to the station (8 miles to Chester or 5 to Mouldsworth) and use a bus at the other end.
But also - there are no trains between 10pm & 5 am.
Might be greener, but impossible as well as dearer.
"Provided the A55 stays clear".... yes, well that's the question really. Does it usually stay clea or is it often a snarling mess of traffic queues? (Or are you talking about road works which I suppose I can check in advance)
