Hi,
HELP PLEASE.... On my '57 plate D40 Aventura
The front wires are Light Green and Purple on the Left,
and Light Green and Red on the Right...

...I have assumed the LG wires are +, and wired both accordingly. However Red has always indicated + to me..... I am CONFUSED!!!

Vibe 6 x 9" Slicks fit exactly where the original paper ones came out, and sound great, but I am a perfectionist, have I done them in reverse, albeit the same phasing??? Many Thanks in advance for any useful info.

I think you probably need a Trustan d40.
If you remove the head unit there may be (but probably not) a legend of the radio wiring loom. You can then check continuity from loom to door.
Alternatively, get a Nissan-ISO connector where the + and - will be easily distinguishable.
It's been quite a project. :)
