My friend bought a new 2013 Hyundai i20 recently and unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago cracked the passenger side wing mirror glass. As that was all that was damaged she bought a replacement self adhesive replacement glass off what appeared to be a reputable company on the internet
When it arrived, the packaging indicated it was for an i20 model for 2009 models onwards. Unfortunately when I went to fit it for her the mirror glass was not the right shape - it was too large and slightly different shaped.
When I tried to contact the company, their email address was invalid, and when I filled in a report form on their internet site no one replied.
The basic question though that I want answering is; does the latest Hyundai i20 have different size/shaped wing mirrors to last year's model?
I would be grateful if any Hyundai i20 drivers could give me a reply.
:-) Best of luck but you don't just need an i20 owner, but one that knows how the wing mirror changed over the years. Must be a website out there somewhere dedicated to the car.
Did try - but after maneouvering through their phone menu, eventually got put through, only to get an electronic voice, asking me to leave a message, at least that's what I think it said.
So, that's when I thought, where can I contact real people - ah yes, AnswerBank!

I just thought I'd try the manufacture of the mirror for help, not the company that sold it on Amazon. They were very helpful, they did admit that the current i20 mirrors were probably different to last years', but they did say that if I made a template of the mirror, they would cut it to my exact requirement.
So, it looks that all's well that ends well - I hope!
Was it bought via Ebay? if so contact Ebay /Paypal and view their polycys regards complaints. was there an invoice within the package, if so, look them up on Google.
It was purchased via Amazon. I think the information on the packaging was a genuine error. The mirror was shown as suitable for Hyundai i20 models from 2009 onwards, whereas it appears that this years' model has a different shaped glass.
I know, unfortunately, that mistakes will always be made, but as long as someone takes steps to rectify an error, then that's acceptable to me.
