Renault Megane 1.9 Dci Help Needed Urgently
Hubby's car has just had a message flash up on screen "check injection" and the car is not pulling as it should do...having problems going up the hill. For the last few weeks there has been a funny noise near the front right wheel which has now stopped (don't know if this is related). Does anyone know what this can mean? TIA

You could try injector cleaner (few quid - just pour into the fuel tank and run as normal) or go on a forum and find out if it's a common issue. Garage is another option but that will be >£50 for a diagnostic check and it will be v expensive if they reccomend changing the injector.
If it were me i'd buy a cheap bluetooth obd2 reader from ebay, about £10-£15, then download the torque app for my smartphone (free) and see what fault codes you have. If the car has an obd2 port, in the eu all diesels since 2004 have them (some cars will have them before), i think the post is between the drivers and passengers seats under a removeable panel.
Renault dont have obvious messages, ie for a misfire on a petrol car the screen says 'check emmisions'

Hubby took it in to a local garage....turns out the rattling was caused by the cam belt and the main problem is the egr valve...I'm not very mechanical, so it may make more sense to you than me...anyway, expensive business but in 7 years we haven't had more than an exploding battery (that was fun), a flat tyre and the window mechanism going, so we are counting ourselves lucky.
I have to say though, my old style 1980s astra never had more than 2 flat tyres in all the years I had it!
