Does every Dealer charge for intermittent faults in an 8 month old vehicle that they find 'no fault found'.

My daughter was just stung by Arnold Clark Motors for £90!
All they fixed was a wiper- which too was an intermittent fault!

Car dealers do not have the best reputation for after sales service.
Write a formal letter to their head office listing the faults. Say that as motor traders, they should not have sold a car with these faults and that they are legally responsible for fixing them. You require a refund of the £90 and you are giving them one more opportunity to repair the faults. If they have not done so within 14 days, you will get the car repaired elsewhere and sue them for the cost plus damages without further notice.

You'll find a sudden change in attitude!
Any fault on an 8 month old car should be covered by the warranty, with nothing being charged for parts or labour ! I would go back and have a chat with the sales/service managers and see if they will refund the charge as a goodwill gesture.

The strange thing about this is that they did replace a faulty wiper which was also an intermittent fault! So why they 'cherry picked' that is a mystery!

My daughter has written to their customer service manager about these problems....
