If There Was Any Doubt Of Labour's Anti...

Hi there.
I am looking to view a 52 reg Seat Ibiza 1.2 with the intention of buying it (private sale).
Unfortunately, my knowledge of cars is limited to simply driving them.
I would like to know what to look out for both in general terms and particularly for issues specifically relating to this model.
The car has done 40,000 miles.
Can anybody help?
Bez

That's who I always use for advice.
Also, have you thought about paying a mechanic from AA / RAC etc to have a look. You can either see it at wasting 100 or saving yourself a fortune if it goes wrong!
As you are probably aware Seat is the cheap spainish end of VW Audi. My advice would be to spend more and get an equivelent Polo or Golf or spend the same and get a little older model of one.
The future sell on revenues will actually save you money in the long run.
Trust me.
