1999 onwards, heater not blowing, first check your under bonnet fuse, fuse 28, Colour Green, 20 amp, I thought it may have been a Heater Control Start, this unit is on the Near side of your car, the easy way to do it, remove the glove box, the unit is found just forward than the Vent & held in place by 2 Torx 10 mm screws, , to remove it takes 20mins, the E36 are prone to this defective part, I have just received one via Ebay £29. 00 Free Del, dealer Price £70+ I thought this might help a few.

I had an E30 and an E36 and found the E30 far better built. My E36 rear door seals fell to bits, the rear diff started to growl and the driveshafts became loose !
Just saying.
