Have You Ever Forgotten Where You Parked Your Car?
On the TV programme "Good Morning" recently there was a discussion about the embarrassing situations caused when you forget where you parked your car. Fortunately, it doesn't happen now that the hazard lights flash when you press the button on the car key,
1.One woman said that she had to wait for 2 hours until the supermarket car park had emptied before she could find her car.
2.Another woman said that she was looking for her car for ages until she remembered that she was using her husband's car.
3. Another woman also wasted her time looking for her car until she remembered that she had walked to the shops.
4. In case you think that I am being sexist, I admit that I have done it a couple of times.
After that I used to write down in my diary where the car was parked before I left it.

They booked into a B&B then went for a walk round the town, then could not remember where their B&B was.
The police had to drive them round the town, up and down all the roads, till they found it.

When I was about 18, I also came nose-to-nose with another car in a multi-storey car park. The other driver got out and said "do you know you're going the wrong way?"
I said, "I'm not. I'm going there to the exit. The arrows are pointing the wrong way."
He actually looked terrified and reversed to let me through.
I hope my insurance company aren't reading this.

Parked at the John Lewis car park at Bluewater which was virtually empty. Did shopping and returned to find car gone. Trooped back to M & S to return groceries to cold storage and reported theft to the concierge. After explaining situation, chap said - with a sigh - 'you do realise that there are two John Lewis car parks?'
It was clear I wasn't the first to make this mistake!

Yeah after a bad night shift: I had to ring the Police and say I wasnt sure if I had lost it or it was stolen. (1980) and they said wait a few days !
and then rang me and said it was parked 6 miles away,
and that therefore I probably hadn't lost it.
Funny thing was, it was in a slum in Brum
and my last client at 5 pm came from there and had been inquiring for buses home....I always wondered.

When I was in the army, an elderly officer was always forgetting where he parked his car. He also had half-a-dozen swagger sticks scattered strategically placed around the unit, because he would put one down, then forget where it was. A neatly pressed spare uniform hung in his office for those occasions when he'd turn up in the morning having forgotten he was duty 'Officer of the Day'!
