Alarm
7 Answers
This might seem like a silly question ( it sounds silly , but i've started so i'll finished )
On my car insurance policy documents , it states that there is an immobiliser fitted to the car .
However i wasn't sure if it also had an alarm fitted as well , so i did not say it had .
Reading the handbook again it appears that it may indeed have an alarm .
How would that now affect my cover ?

In any case the car is safer from theft than you believed so they should not increase your premium. However Mamyalynne's caveat about charging you to alter the policy is worth heeding, so I think I would just let things be until next renewal and declare the alarm then.
When i spoke to the gentleman from the insurer , to transfer the insurance from my previous car to the present one ; i think i told him ( if my memory serves me correctly - i did talk about a lot of things ) that i was not sure if it had an alarm or not - so he should leave it stating ,only an immobiliser .
I could be wrong in my recollection though , of the conversation .
In any event whether i did or not , as i said i just wanted to sound you guys out as to your opinion as to whether or not the insurance documents not stating alarm is fitted, would invalidate the insurance , if i now tell them it has an alarm .
