Hi had car serviced and mot on 30th sept at main dealer.they checked the car for any faults as per there check list everything ok. Put my car in today to have fuel filter and pollen filters changed as they didn't do it on service.when I went to collect car they told me I had 3 red warnings on my check list belt slipping off pulley 2injectors leaking and leak from timing cover which needs to be investigated. Surely these would have been picked up in sept especially the pulley belt as it states on the record it was in good condition as was all the others.told service manager not to happy about faults as car recently checked. He said he would phone me back today but no response do you think I should see garage manager about these faults.
If I were you I'd phone the service manager back tomorrow ( just incase he had forgotten to phone you back ) see what he has to say and if you don't like what he say's then take it to his senior manager.
To add to Tony's comment, make sure you have a witness to the Mangers reply, was the Warning lights on when you got the car back from the service? If yes, why did you not phone them? the fuel leak! that should have been smelt! what make is the car / mileage? the filters SHOULD have been changed on the service, WHY DID THE NOT DO IT? someone is taking the Izz here, these faults should be done F/O/C If they try to charge you, advise them that you are contacting T.S.
Hi thanks for your replies update garage doing work on warranty no problems with that. Just annoyed that these issues would not have been known to me if I hadn't put car back in for filter change. You would expect your car to be in good condition with 2services and a mot within 12 months. From the same main dealer.
