Mazda Fuel?

Just out of curiosity, how much would I spend on fuel for a Mazda rx-8 per month?

LOL, depends on how many miles you travel and how heavy you are with your right foot.

My journey to school is a 30 min drive, so driving for an hour a day back and forth, plus going out on weekends.

I estimate it will be about 1% of your income so you should be able to bear the cost

On a Mazda RX8 the oil consumption is a bigger issue.

You will be lucky to get 30mpg so work it out.

As Tony, your right foot plays an important part. the maintenance of the car,( Serviced well) does that car have a roof Rack, are your windows open, tyre pressures correct, Traffic, Stop / start, using the correct gears, If possible going up the box ( if it's manual ) as quick as you can Eg/ 1st>3RD etc.

Always fancied one of these, I think they look fantastic. But I have read that the rotary engine doesn't like short journeys. It needs to be run up to normal operating temperature each time. I only have a short trip to work so no good for me.
