Some relations of our's are in Perth at this time, my Neighbours Mother next door out going out in March, stopping En route H.K. then on to Syndney " Lucky ***" many years ago I had chance to go out as a £10 Pom, the marriage at that time was like the Blue Mountains & I knew it would not last, It would have been very unfair of me to take my OH & 2 children out there knowing it was sadly going to end, I had brothers out there so I would have been ok but the OH would have had to return to the UK, I often wonder how things would have turned out.
My parents came here as "ten quid poms" 55 years ago.
Damm glad they did.
I was born in the "mother country" but have never experienced it.
Happy as a "pig in the proverbial" here.

I have spoken to quite a few person in flight out there or returning to the UK, Not one has any regret from leaving the UK
No, first I've heard of it.

Not clearing snow from the car roof is surely common. What happened ? Did they have to use the wipers ? I expect they've learnt it isn't as risk free as it might seem and won't be doing it again.
Question Author
They did not clear the snow off the roof OG, It slid down in one sheet & covered the whole screen.
My brother-in-law went out there with his family as £10 Poms and came back within the year. Our neighbour's son went out there several years ago and came back last year because of the heat.
Crucifixion TWR don't mess about! WAP!
I didn't hear about this though, what happenned? Presumably an accident was caused.
He does appear to be able to see where he is going though - though those holes in the snow are rather small
