Book car in for MOT (that's the only legal way you'll be able to drive it out of the pound)
Go to pound, pay release fee £200, storage fee £21 a day, a surety of £160 as you cannot tax the vehicle until it is MOT'd. You will get the surety back if you tax the vehicle within 14 days.
Drive car to MOT station, tax vehicle online, claim back your surety.
You cannot tax the vehicle whilst it is impounded even if it has a valid MOT.
Your car is probably worth around £9k, so it's got to be cheaper to fly home and sort it out.
We need to know how it is normally taxed - by you or the dealer.
