Auto Engine Stop Start
Any opinions on wether this causes early battery or starter motor failure. I personally think it's ok but a friend has it switched off to save battery and starter motor?

When you switch off the ignition at the end of a run, the Stop-Start switches itself off. When you start the engine for the next journey, the Stop-Start switches itself on again, so, if you don't want it on at all, you have to remember to press the 'A off' button every time that you start up.
My car has stop-start and it's behaved perfectly...the battery, starter and associated electrics are all heavy-duty especially for the stop-start version. I leave it on all the time....but don't spend a lot of time in traffic queues.
I also have laser-controlled emergency-braking and leave that on too!
