The warning light for the ABS has been coming on intermittently on my Rover 825, especially going over potholes which makes me think it's probably a sensor thats gone. Rather than spend hundreds getting it fixed I'm tempted just to leave it be, would this have any effect on the normal braking on the car?

If your ABS light is on then the ABS won't work, but you can still brake as if you were in a car without ABS fitted.
problem is, it's an mot fail. the brakes will work but kebabmeister  will know for sure. has anyone seen him lately? i've been very busy with work, lots of miles stupid hours and not much time to play...
