I've been looking a the stats of these cars and they seem to be impressive, and extremely good value for money, anyone got, or had one?

they are acceptable quality but they drop like a stone in the second hand market so get 1 a year old for half price.
Seen one parked up regularly in my late M.I.L.s block of flats. It belongs to an elderly couple who dote on it. It looks nice. My only concern is that is engineered on Renault and having owned 3 Renaults I now avoid them.
They seem very good value and well equipped but reliability ???
They do pretty well on this list - which model are you interested in?

Rust and soundproofing are of some concern...as well as eye watering depreciation. However, they are cheap to begin with.
Do new cars rust these days?
One thing in their favour I suppose...Jeremy Clarkson didn't like them !
The Dacia Duster is built in India and there have been problems with rust on new cars. The other models are made in Romania and are OK. I've read on owners' forums that after-market soundproofing applied to the underside of the bonnet and the boot floor of the Sandero and Sandero Stepway improve sound levels considerably.
@mikey

James may loved the Sandero!
Is that what the plastic bits on Cactus's are for?
No
I have always wondered what the Stepway bit meant ?

Tbh, I would rather walk!

I'm looking at an ad. (not an actual car) for a new Logan MCV . 5 doors, 573 litres of boot space, basic price, under 7 grand. The fully loaded version 'Ambience, 1.2, 16v 75 . Combined fuel range; 49 to 74 mpg. is still only £8,290, which seems remarkable, and cheap as chips.
I've had lots of Jaguars and Mercs etc. now as I age I'm no longer concerned with 'image', though in fact it looks rather good, I must say.
A bloke at my shooting club has a 4wd , can't remember the model, but he reckons it is the bees knees. He can can get all his gear in the back, no problem.
Unless you want to lug wardrobes about I don't see the point of buying a Logan MCV version.
Take one for a test drive and let us know what you think.

Baldric; Thanks, it doesn't sound too encouraging. Apart from the price, it doesn't seem like it has a lot in its favour. I think it would be a climb-down from my aging, but superbly built and fully loaded, Honda CRV automatic.
Think again!
Pointless replacing your car if you're happy with it, Khandro.

I think the larger Dacia cars are ideal for driving your large, hairy hounds into muddy places for their daily run. Plenty of room and you're not going to cry over the upholstery. With the 5 year warranty it would pay to keep it till it stops and then buy another.
