So yesterday I was going out, I get into my car (Toyota aygo 2010). After I turned the a p/s in my dashboard was on, but I didn't really focus on it. But then I started driving and I could REALLY feal that there's something wrong with the wheels. So I stop the car, then there was a sound coming from under the Dashboard, sounds like a clock. I got out closed the door, and then opened again and there was nothing. I started the car and everything was normal again. And now I don't know if it's something I should fix or its normal?
Not sure if this car's Power Steering is Belt Driven, the noise you heard may have been a "belt Slip" It may need adjustment or Replacement, if any oil or grease has come anywhere near the inner belt surface it will slip.
I would not say there is a danger Isospiso but as you have gathered it will take extra effort to turn the wheel, go to a local garage ( Not The Dealership) for a belt Inspection, if it's the Belt or low on Power Steering Oil they will advise you, is there a Mr in the house? ask him to check under the bonnet, try the Belt tightness & the Oil Fluid Level in the Power Steering Tank.
Toyota Aygo has Electric steering. Could have been a dodgy connection. If it happens again then a visit to a garage is on the cards. Not unsafe as such, but the sudden extra effort to steer may cause problems.
Many years ago our next-door neighbour put her car into a ditch when her power-steering failed. It was the old-type, driven by a belt, which snapped as she went into a corner (sudden stress on the belt). The steering still works but the extra effort required caught her by surprise and she didn't turn the wheel in time. Just be aware of this until you had yours looked at although the current, electric driven, systems have a warning light which the old type didn't.
