Help! no matter what I do my windscreen (interior) fogs over and leaves me virtually driving blind. I've tried many ways to clean the windscreen - even commercial windscreen de-misters seem to be ineffective. Has anyone got a sure fire way of stopping interior windows from fogging over????

I have the same problem, and have no idea why it happens.
But, I lower the driver and front passenger windows and it works okay.
I know, a bit of a pain in cold weather, but better that than not being able to see.
Does your car have AC ? If it does, than switch it on....the car will clear within a minute or two. AC is just not for cooling hot cars....the AC, plus demist is the very best way to keep your car clear. It will work on your front screen, plus your side wondows.

Are your demisters vents open and working properly ? Switch your fan on full speed, with the controls at "demist".....can you feel a rush of air ? Even without AC, this should clear your car if the temperature is turned to hot.

Report back please with your findings !
put blowers on !
If you have Air Con use it to clear the window, when cleaning the Inside of the screen use paper not any sort of spray.
that's what I meant Mikey !!
Minty.....I find it difficult to accept that a normally functioning won't clear a misted windscreen.

If Rabbi tries all my checks, and it still doesn't work, then he should change the car !
i cant believe how many people have there cars set with "recirculate air" on set it to "fresh air" + speed high, problem solved
Ivor...well said....I forgot that one !
Air Con will clear it in seconds.
try changing the cars pollen filter.if its blocked or damp etc this causes much of the problems you describe. The pollen filter is cheap easy to change and then very effective
What make, model and year is it, I may be able to tell you where to look for water ingress.
I remember back in the day we used to cut a potato in half and rub it on the windscreen, it used to clean it and leave an invisible film that didn't mist up
I suspect you have a leak letting water in. Lift the mats and feel the carpet to see if there is a wet patch.
This is also a symptom of the car being damp inside. Check foe wetness under the carpets as you may have a window or door seal leak. It is not uncommon.
You need to dry the interior completely, then the air con will keep you clear.
Check your car's fan settings - have you got the air flow directed at your windscreen?

If it is set to come into the interior, it won't de-mist. Re-direct it at the windscreen (the symbols show where the air is going) and that should sort out your issue.
I had this happen once on a car, and it turned out to be a minute hole in the heater radiator that was allowing steam to escape from the system to condense on the windscreen
