In my car, for example, the knobs that adjust the angles of the backrest on each seat are on the outside. If I swapped the seats they would be on the inside but there probably would'nt be space for them next to the central console. (Even if they could be squeeezed in, it would probably be impossible to grasp them to make adjustments). Also, my car's front seats have got electrical sensors in them which detect when someone is sitting in them and activates a warning light if they've not fastened their seatbelt. The wiring would need to be switched round.
Are you sure that you've got the driving seat adjusted to your personal requirements? The guy who valeted my car the other day moved the driving seat slightly and I spent a good 5 minutes getting it back to how I wanted to be. It's always worth spending 5 or 10 minutes fiddling around with it (and the readjusting it again slightly after each of the first half dozen journeys that you then make in the car, to get it exactly right).
