vw golf electric window and insp warning

My 1999 golf diesel has two problems, the first is the front electric window which is sticking when going up and the other is the service insp warning light, I have had the door trim off for the window but can't get to anything, also iv'e tried numerous ways of resetting the service indicator but up to press nothing seems to work thanks

I had the same prob with the window.. few weeks later when rolling the window up the glass fell into the door. It could be due to a badly designed window regulator. Approx �100 fitted from a VW dealer. It a fiddly job to do at home. Try a google search for Golf Mk4 window regulator, plenty of guides are there to help.

Also check to see if there is anything stuck on the seals inside and out.

To reset the service look through the handbook I sure it tells you how.
