How soon after receiving a ticket does a driver have to pay it?


What happens if you receive one while being away on holidays?

usually within 14 days of receiving the letter. If you are on holiday, it's too bad, but you may present this to the isuer who may (hardly likely) be flexible andf give you a bit of grace in paying.



If you do not pay within the 14 days, the fine will increase usually by about 50%. If you fail to pay that, expect a knock at the door from Mr Bailiff.
